Marina Fridman is a Canadian visual artist creating immersive installations that explore our shifting perception of time and space, reality and mortality. Immersed in traditional drawing and painting in the early years of her education, Fridman’s practice later expanded to include a wide range of materials and techniques. For some time, she moved fluidly between drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and video. These days, she creates ‘drawing installations’: large-scale drawings that transform a space. She considers her current work to be a merging of traditional drawing and contemporary sculpture. Full bio here.
